Imagining Your Game

I am writing my game for people who are between 10 and 17 years old. The person who plays my game must be able to have quick reactions to the obstacles. Since my topic is about oil spills and to  the player must already know about how to time when and where the obstacle is going to let you pass by. 
My players will learn about the details of my topic, such as to take action when an oil spill happens that we need to be really to clean it up as fast as we can.
 The environment for my game will look like be in the ocean where the oil spill happen and how the animals are affected. 
This setting will add to the learning of my game by teaching students the skill they need to beat the game and how an oil spill hurts the environment.
The environment of my game will help the player learn by showing that animals get damage and the water gets polluted.
 The player will need to use their knowledge of math  in order to know how much time it has and what they might need to know how much oil was spill.
 A game is a better way of understanding my topic than a quiz because on a quiz you can guess the answer without even reading the question so I game is more challenging to play.

  • My game is going to be in the Gulf of Mexico because there was an oil spill last year and it was the worst oil spill in the United states.It kill many aquatic life and polluted the ocean water.The setting will show you that the oil spreads out so far from the ocean so the clean up is much more harder like there are no boarders that stop the oil.

• They would learn to take action in the game to stop the oil spill to save the environment also to save the country some money.

• My game would be better that a quiz because you get to see drawing about an oil spill explosion which would give you a better idea about what an oil spill is.A quiz doesn't show you nothing of an oil spill because you don't have to read the questions and you can just guess whats the correct answer.  

Tempest in Crescent City

What I learn about tempest in crescent city is that a girl has lost her mom in the hurricane Katrina, and she dreams about that moment after the hurricane thing that she is going to save her mom. Also the hurricane Katrina was one of the worst hurricanes in the United States.

The game included to break the roofs because many people got stuck in the roof because they didn't have transportation or they just didn't wanted to leave.So when the hurricane hit the water levels rise and they had to move in their attic. Many people were stuck in the attic, and they couldn't get out of the attic.

I think the game design like this because in some parts there was more water and the situation was more complicated. The level ground was deeper so the water go stuck in there so the as more water comes in the more the water level will rise.

The game inspire me to help people that need help because many people lose their homes', items, and  maybe all of it. They have to live in a bad place for weeks till they clean the city with the water polluted trash around them. I would take action to help people that are in need for help to save them or to provide them supplies that they need.
Hurricane katrina

Darfur is Dying

What I learn about Darfur is Dying is that they live a hard life.That they depend in the weather, and also to be awarded of the other tribe so they won't be attack by the janaweed. The women are rapped, and the men are shoot and kill. They get water to grow crops or so they can drink it.
When you go get water you can choose  from a boy that is ten years old that can run the most but can carry the less and the older you are the more water you can get but the slower you can run.If you were caught by the janaweed if you are a girl is most likely that you will be rapped, and if your a kid you will probably be shoot or kill.Well the abilities for each is that the older you are the more water you can get and the younger that you are the less water you can get and the faster you can run.
I think to maintain camp is so you can learn what they do because you need to grow crops and give them water. Also you need the water so you can build house out of mud bricks. When you need to be awarded when the janaweeds might attack and destroy the houses or take the crops.I think also so you can learn how they live and depend on water, weather. They need supplies but when they can get them is hard for them to survive.
I think when you can write a letter to the president is because so he can take actions to help them and they can help them in supplies they need. Also so he can donated money for them so they can have a better life. On facebook to inform people how they are living with out safety and how hard it is. I think this is a great idea because many people in the United States always want to help people that are needed with anything they can to make their life's easier.
Playing the game made me feel bad because they had to do this every day so they live one more day. Kids are kill stolen, girls and women are rapped, and man are kill when they are getting water or wood for the camp.I have seen people like this and makes me want to do something to help them. Its sad that they can spend some time with each other, but they have to be worry about surviving. Also if the janaweeds are going to attack them.

Steve jobs

Steve Jobs was the founder of the company of Apple. He was the one who create the Ipod, IPhone, and the Ipad. If he hadn't done what he had done that there wouldn't computers, smart phones, and mp3s. He is also a big part of Pixar animation because he was the one who created it. I really don't know who he was, but from what I learn today from him that he is a great person. With out him we won't have many of the great items we have today. He is a great inspiration to many people, but knowing what I know now from him I think he was a great person. He inspired many people t create new items for the future.I think if I had know more about him, and who he was I think he would of been some to inspire me. He would of inspire me to make new items that could help any one in the future, and that are every advance items

Playing to Learn

What I learn in my choice of gametha is call synchronized Saviors that is about we should take care of the world because more people are living in it and there is more trash produced. The genre is good because is about pollution, but it shows what we should do to make it a cleaner place to live in. I think the game was interesting because I like that little things could be change to make it a more energy saver. What really stood out to me was how this game is very interesting, and shows you how to clean the world. I think this game is really cool to play because it shows that every change can make a difference.
What I would like to know is: How much trash is produce a week by all the people that live in Earth?

Be the Change

It made me feel good because we were helping to put mulch around the trees to make them healthy.It was good because many trees are dieing because there is no rain. What we did was to take the mulch around the trees then make is deep in the center of the tree so when it rains the water stays inside. .It makes you feel good to help the community to make it a nice and cleaner place to live in.I would like to help pick up trash that people throw in the ground,and I want to help clean that up to have less pollution in the area.I think this can help you learn that people don't really care about the planet,but we have to take care of it because it is are only home.

Mini Game

The hardest part to make the mini game was to past the pizza in there using the code of the carrot.It was hard because there was no particular code for it and didn't say were to put it at.Then the teacher help me where to put the code and how to make it work, and show me were I had the code wrong.
The best part of the mini game was to get the game finish and how to work with It.The last part I guess what the best park because that was when I finish the game saw how cool It was.Also adding the background to make the game come more alive.
The worst part was when I got the pizza to move, but then the other things would freeze and had a horrible time with it.I didn't exactly knew were to put the code at and what codes to use.I knew that the carrot code ,but I just need part of the code to make the pizza move.It was hard because It didn't have you the code for it or tell you where to put the code at.It was a challenge to me to get the code to work, but at the same time it was good for me to learn better to work with Adobe Flash.

Children of Heaven

The movie we watch in class was about a family that were poor and were Muslims and were nice people and need more money to survive.The movie started about how the big brother lost his sister's shoes at in a store were they sell vegetables.He had to pick from the little potatoes and when he was picking them some one came and toke the bag were he had it.After he was done he could not find the bag then drop the oranges and the employed told him to get out and he ran all the wall to his house.He sister was inside the house and she ask Ali were the shoes were and he said he had lost them and she started to cry,but he told her he was going to get them back.He went back to the store and look for them and they kick him out again.So he told her she could take his shoes,but had to wait outside the neighborhood to give them to him because he goes to school in the afternoon.So the sister was at school and she was shy to show her shoes and they were in P.E and a girl slipped because of her shoes.The teacher said the best thing were to wear sneakers.When she got home they trade shoes and Ali was late to class, but he made the top three bast grades in class.So then he got home and the sister was embarrassed to wear the shoes because they were dirty so they was them.It started to rain and he sneakers were getting wet.Then Sarah found out that another girl got her shoes.Sarah follow her to were she live.Then the dad had a sermoning.His dad and Ali went to find job for him and they found some and got pay.Then Ali got late to school and the Principal said it he needed to go to home but the teacher talk to the Principal and let him stay.Then Ali enter into a race and he won first place but he wanted third to win the sneakers for his sister.They did not know that his dad bought some shoes for them.
No  it did not because I thought they were going to be hatting Americans and wanting to kill them.It fit that the women's and girls had to wear turbans and were very religious.The man did not have the big beards and did not wear the turbans and did not hate America and did not worry about that.I learn that not all of them hate America and have more important things to worry about.They can be very kind.Ali was a person who would help other people with less things and worries about his family.I know because he had a pen to his sister that he won and that he wanted to win new pair of sneakers for his sister.

Its about were most Muslims live at and what they do for the religion.I think it is important that because the people in the movie were Muslims.

What happened?

What I think that happened in September 11-2001 was that terrorist have the bad mind to blow up two of the most important towers in the world.Why would they do this knowing they were going to die.I want to know how they plain this over the years and how they go into the country with fake passports.Why didn't the the passengers in the plain figure out what was happening and could save the worldtratecanter.Why did the president went to war with Iraq and not from were the terrorist were from.I think that Obama did a good job taking out the most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden.Also how Osama bin Laden was hiding for ten years and we could not find were he was.September 11,2001 change our life's,but many brave fireman,police,and paramedics save many peoples life's.

Danger of a single story

A single story is how people with darker skin color get judge and don't have the same respect as richer people or lighter skin color.How adults now she a teenager wearing long T-shirt and saying that there not good people but some times the parents buy it so they don't have to buy more so it would last them a longer time.
I have had a personal story that when I'm out in the street playing soccer with my friends they think were bad people and poor.They judged us and don't have an idea how we are and why are we playing soccer there.Just because we can't buy things that they can buy don't mean we are in a gang or something.
I had another single that people that  have more money ask me were do you parents work and before I can even they say your mom cleans house right, and they also think that my dad works in construction.They think also that I go to schools that are bad and don't have the same education as them.

A game like that is from the streets or war say that they are poor and compare our country ton other country's and saying our country is better and always win.Also in the street games saying like our neighborhoods are bad and don't have good people or they are in a gang and are poor.That we can hurt people and don't have education.

Cyberbullying

I learn that getting bully online can get you to do some of the worst things, and get to kill your self.That is not fun to do that and make other people feel bad about them self's.I have not get bullied but I know some friends that had. Is not cool to make them feel bad about them self's,or don't know what to do.
What I think that the characters in the movie could of done differently was to tell an adult right away.Taylor could of told the principal to talk to the girl's dad about her attitude was. Taylor could of also block the the user name and report the messages to the webmaster.If it got way out of control she could of go get some help instead of taking the bully by her self.This shows that cyberbullying is growing more and more and that is making people try kill them self's.
I think that in the whole United States there should be a law against cyberbullying.Bullies this days bully other people to make them self's feel bad about them self's or because they are jealous for them.Also because what are they are interested in like boy or girl and can get them to commit suicide.

First Week Of School

Th first week of school was boring because we had to be reading the rules like for three days.I was nervous because I didn't know if there were going to be new kids and how the classes were going to be.I think that the classes are more close together than last year. I don't know some of the teachers but some I seen some before.I'm excited to be with my friends back and have a good time with them and to make new friends.I think this year is going to be much harder than six grade.I think that my classmates are steal the same funny,nice etc.I didn't wanted to come back to school because I don't want to do school work.I want to stay at home and play games and not worry about school.This year is really to show what we learn last year and to go into eight grade.

Percy Jackson

The movie started as him being at the museum in the school field trip and then her teacher Ms.Dodds toke him into a room and she turn into a dragon.Then Mr.Brunner came in the room with Grover and he told her he was going to kill her.So then Mr.Brunner have Percy a pen that turn into a sword.Then Percy and Grover went to the house were Percy and they got in the car to go into a camp.When they were almost there they were Chase by a Minotaur .They got to the camp but the mom could not go in because she was not like her son so the Minotaur got her and kill her then Percy kill the Minotaur.So he train there and he saw that Mr.Brunner was centaur and he was train and they play capture the flag and he was in the blue team and he got to the flag and battle the Annebeth and he Bette her. So he had to turn in the Lighting Bolt and Luke have him some flying shoes and a shield and then they got to the first annodo and they got the three and when they got to the under world they find out that the Lighting bolt was in the shield and they have it to the king of the under world but her assistance kill him and let them go free but Grover have to stay because they only had three annodos and they went to the Mount Olympus.But Luke was there and Percy flighted him and Then Percy have the Lighting bolt back to Suez.

SeaWorld

I went to Sea world yesterday and I had a good time with my friends.We toke pictures together and went on the rides,my favorite ride was The Great White shark;it turn up side down and side ways.The first time I didn't wanted to get on but after I did it was fun.I got on with my friends.When I first got to Sea World I got in the Steel Eel.I didn't like the ride because it feels like your going to fall out the roller coaster.My bast friend was scare (Iliana) and we went to the sharks,Dolphins,Penguins.

Apollo 13

They were celebrating in 1967 the training but there was an accident.In 1969 they were sending Apollo 13 into space but they trade Houston for Jack Swigert because Houston haven;t got the measles .He was really mad because it was his chance to make it happen.So they toke Jack Swirget,Jim Lovell,Red Haise.So they were launch safe and they got into space.Then Jack check the oxygen tanks but something happen and something blow up.So they had to move all the information to the Len.After they move to the Len they were breding much CO2.So Jack,Jim and Red had to make a filter to take out the CO2 and it work really well. So they were talking how it was better to bring them to cut or go around the moon.SO they went around the moon and they didn't us gas they us the gravity pull of the moon.So they move to the Odyssey so land in Earth and they were rescue and brought back safely to Earth.

The Lightning Thief-Chapter 1

We started reading The Lighting Thief yesterday and it is really good.What has happen is that they went to a museum of old Roman stuff.Percy Jackson got in trouble because Nancy was being spoil.So she let her self fall in the fountain so Percy could get in trouble. So then the teacher call him to talk and explain what happen over there.His friend try to take the blame but she was smarted than that.

Best Trip

The best trip I have had is going to Austin Park & Pizza,because it was really fun going with my friends and having a good time with them. I like that we gang out go in the gold cars,laser tag, play the arcade.I really like this trip because it was my first time going to Austin Park & Pizza with all my friends.I funnest ride would have to be the gold cars because you could crash and race with your friends.I have the best time eating pizza playing games and ganging with my friends.

My favorite team is pumas and they made it to the finals.I like this team becuase they have been doing really good and they are my favorite team.I have been likeing this team for about five years and they have lost and won but they have good players that I like.One of my favorite playes is El picolin,Pablo Barrera.I think there going to beat Morelia and win the championship.

Best Blog

So today we are going to present our game demo in Globaloria.I think me and my partner are going to do great in our presentation. Also today in Spanish we had to do our presentation so I'm feeling good about it and I got us to it.This is going to be a good game demo because will put a lot of work into it.So bad things about the game mite be that our character can't move it's feet; but we put lots of work so I'm really confident .Also we have work in the game demo for the pass month or maybe two months on it.

Stand and Deliver

The teacher of the math class was name Jaime Escalante he wanted to teach the students calculus to they could go to college.The bad thing was they had seventh grade knowledge so they had to work extra hard to make this possible.So he was speaking to the other teachers and to the principal in a meeting but they were making fun of him.He took the challenge to teach them calculus so they could have a better life.So they study extra hours to the class twice and stay like until nine p.m.Then they took the test put they had the same wrong answers.Then they took the test again but they only had one day to study.They took it and they all pass the test again.

The Big Test

The TAKS test is going to be easy now that i have take it for the last three years and now the TNT steps will help me in the TAKS test.I feel good for the TAKS because now I'm confidant and I have encourage.I'm nervous for the test because if I don't pass the the test I'm going to steal be in the same grade.I want all my friends also to pass the test to be with them next year.I think I'm going to pass this test because I been working hard in school and trying my best.

iPads for Kids

I think that having ipads in school could be good because will don't have to us the textbooks.It could also be bad because kids could go in the Internet wild they have to do work or something.Ipads have a lot of good tools to us and it could help the students to learn better or to understand it.This could have less work and faster and make the class fun for the students and that they could get much more work done in less time.Also one bad thing is that the Internet is not working you could not us the Internet for some class work.

The game demo has come out really good will put other frames to make the background and make it look nice.Also will made the play area and added the character your going to us.The demo is looking good just need to add some more frames and make it fun to play.I think this is going to be a great game.I added some folders to keep the layer in there to make a big mess.The layers are the title page,play area,and the character.

Our game is unique because it teaches you to do the right choice and not became the bad guy.I think our game is going to "sell" because it has a lot to show to young kids.

playing Games To Get Ideas

In cray taxi what will got from that game is that will can make our police car to chace the drug dealer car to get him and stop him.Also what will could do is put some cars to make the game much harder and they have to move to the other side to past the cars.Also what I like about mini golf game is that it tell you your score at the end.On Taxi mania you have time to get to the check point.Also will can make the car move slow then fast them go faster.

Game Progress Reflection

What I learn how to drag things and to make them change color I think that this is going to be a cool game to play.Also I have to try to help other people on there game but I can't get it to work well.I feel that this game is going to be really fun to play and help kids to be safe and stay away from drugs.I think his is going to be a good game and I'm proud about the process will a have accomplish.This is going to be a good game to show good things for kids that live in a bad neighborhood

A Visit From the President

Dr.Barack Obama I think you sould come to our school because will had great students and very smart.Will had two class that other public school don't have .One is service Learning that teaches us about the community.The second one is Globaloria that if a computer class that show us how to do games and do blogs.I think it would be awesome to meet the president of the United States.
I think the school TechBoston Academy school was lucky to meet the presidant of the United States because he has try to get the United States of it's troubles.Obame has done a lot to help the Latin American people but he just can't get it.

Blogging About Blogging

I think if the school i went didn't allow me to to blog it would not be good for me.Blogging helps us to get a better idea how to spell a word and that can get faster to write.Blogging also helps us to become much better and to not have lots of mi spells.In my opinion  i think blogging dose help you because now i don't have lots of problems writing a complicated word.

The Blind Side

The movie will watch was call The Blind Side it was about how a porn African American became a famous football player.The was taken away from hiss mom and his dad was shot.In the beggining he was looking around for something to eat or a place to stay.He found a school because a man help him So then when it was night time he was going to the gym because he had no place to stay.So then the Toughy family toke him to there home.The sleep in the sofa but he heard  Sean Touhy and his wife said they could not pay so in the morning he left.Then they adopt him and he play football.Later the needed to improve his grades.To go to  old miss and he play football.He became a famous football player and he now play es in the NFL.

The game I play was about to not let the balloons pass to the end of the game.You us monkeys and some other weapons to pop the balloons.The thinks you do is put the monkeys or the weapons on the pace you want them.But is fun to play because you can play a game and talk to people at the same time and its easy.

Whatever It Takes

The movie was about this school name Bronx and it centrally in science and mathematics.For EdwardTom It was his fist year being principal,the school had 108 students.Later that school year a kid wrote in the wall so the principal got made and talk to all the students.Also there was a girl name Sharifa  she got accepted to Dartmouth college.At first she was not passing none of her class and had a meeting.Also they said she mite not go to Dartmouth with low grades.So she passed and went to Dartmouth.

The Wizard

The movie started when they were fallowing Jimmy because he wanted to go to California.So then they took him to house and the family was sad.So then Cory and Jimmy were going to California and they got with some truckers.Then they made it to a bus station and they made a a new friend hally.So they wanted some money and they practice for a tournament.Jimmy was going to enter the tournament,but it was in Los Angels.Got with some truckers and  they got rob by the truckers and had to walk.They got to some city and they practice there for the tournament and on the way they play people to get some money.The teenagers to there money so Cory wanted to quit but Jimmy didn't.Then the police man took Jimmy and Haly call some friends to they can get Jimmy back and go to the tournament. Jimmy made it to the final tree.But now they police found them and they were getting chase.Jimmy won the tournament and his parents saw him win.
On the way back Jimmy left is box were he had pictures of his twin sister.

Spring Break!

What I think to do this spring break is go to the movies with my friends to go see a movie maybe Battle Los Angeles.Also I want to go to my dads house because I have not seen my brothers and sister in two weeks.Another thing is that i want to go to Rodeo Austin with my family and another day with just my friends.I think I'm going to have a good time in spring break with my friends and family.I can't wait to for spring break and to have a great time.

Why will didn't go out side ro play

Will didn't went out side to play dogeball because ms.v did not let us go play out side with  the 7graders.Will beg her to let us go out sid e but she said No!!!!.Now Im stuck here doing this blog that is lame and boring to so.This is lame because other classes got to go out side and pley dogeball.

Future-Prompt

In the future I would like to be a professional football player and play for the longhorns.I think this would be a good job for me because I like playing football.Also I want to go to UT because I visit the college and it looks like fun college to go to learn.I like football I play with my friends so I would love to be a football play.The team i would like to play is the Philadelphia eagles because I like that team.

The paper prototype has help me under stand how our game was going to be.Also it help us concentrate in a specific topic and to learn was will are going to teach younger kids in this game.Putting more details would make the game interesting for people to play.Another thing is to make the game fun,educational.To make it interesting but what will want this game to do is to help kids learn how bad gangs be.

Tomorrow will are going to explore UT and i think were going to have a good time.And I looking forward to learn more thing about UT and to have a good time.Also to eat a good buffet with my friends.Another things is I want to learn the class they have there because I want to go to UT.

The middle of the movie was how Malcolm X is protesting for a friend of his that got bit up by white people.He walks to the jail he is and they take him to the hospital and they walk over there and more people start going him.So then the police comes and they said to take this crowd stop ti's crowd.So then his house is burn and they ask Malcolm if it was a warning for him of more than a warning.
Then he went Egypt,Mecca and he saw that their was no races because their was Whites,Blacks,Mexicans Muslims.So he learn about this country was different to Mecca.But there was to white man who follow him every were he went.Later he came back to the united States.He had to so a meeting and some black dude yelled "he your hand out of my wallet ".After that he got shoot and kill in front of his kids.They toke him to a hospital but he could not survive

The topic of our game is drug dealing,the most important concept that Mexico is a dangerous state and is not a safe place.

That this problem is happening every where but is mostly in Latin America

The massage of the movie was a program to make the kids stay in school and not be out their in the street also to be a better person.To do something that the kids would like and make them a better person and to be a great model for their kids.Also it is going to help them in the future to stay out of gangs and not smoking mar iguana etc.This would help them when they to prom or to be a singer,dancer.To show them what path is right.

Mad Hot Ballroom

The movie was about how three school were going to compete in a tournament.Also how they practice and the drama about likeing somebody or touching each other.On one team to kids couldn't dance because it was against it's religion but they like being the DJ.Also their was a green team and they did not make it because they lost for two points and were really sad about it.Then another team kick out a dancer because he was not showing respect.

My dreams for the future

When I grow up I want to be a personal player to help obsessed people become skinny.I want to help people come strong and more active and so they can be the example for their family.To help him/she to become strong.
Were I want to live is in a rich house that has about 6 room 2 living rooms and nice pool and hot tub out side.With a big backyard that has a space to make a football and soccer field.One living room is going to be a small gym to work out and the other one it to bring the family for a party or something like that.
I would also like to go visit Paris to see the one of the most view tower in the world.
A car that I would like to have is a BMW,LAMBORGHINI.I like to have one of this cars when I grow up.

My choice

What am going to do this weekend is go to my dads house and to gang out with my bigger brother.Also to see my baby brother and baby sister.Play some football with my brother and his friends.

What I think of working in groups can be go or bad because they can give you ideas and how to make something better. The disadvantages are that if you don't get along can cause problems and fight or disagree with each other.Something that I have learn is that when you do get along you can accomplish something but if you don't then you fail.Also if you want to be with someone also and you are not with him.So what I think about groups is that is a 50 50.
